CA JCLCheck runtime option "DEBUG" causes CA JCLCheck to capture a SVC DUMP.  This dump is used by CA Support for problem diagnosis.

To diagnose a CA JCLCheck error message, CA Support sometimes requires a SVC DUMP.  The DEBUG option causes a SVC DUMP to be taken when the error message is issued.

1. Run the failing job with runtime option DEBUG(nnn) where nnn is the error message number.

Example: DEBUG(079) for error message CAY6079E.  An SVCDUMP will be produced with DUMP TITLE=JCLCHECKDEBUG079

2. Terse the dump and FTP it to CA using the 'BIN' option.

Additional Information:

The DEBUG option may be used from a CA JCLCheck batch job, or from a CA JCLCheck ISPF session.
