How to determine the Business Objects Fix pack and Service pack installed

Solution:

The Business Objects fix pack and service pack can be determined prior to install from the CABI DVD ISO image, or after Business Objects installation from the server.

From the CABI DVD ISO image, mount the ISO image and navigate to the \disk1\cabi\patch folder.

Open the patch.properties file to see the service pack and fix pack levels entries within brackets.

For example, in the CABIr3.2 DVD ISO image, [SP3] and [FP1_5] entries are shown.

After installation, navigate to the business objects installation folder, typically in the path:
C:\Program Files (x86)\CA\SC\CommonReporting3 (64-bit), or C:\Program Files\CA\SC\CommonReporting3 (32-bit)

and open the biek.properties file. Review the values in the [BOXI] section.

For example, after installation of Business Objects from the CABIr3.2 DVD ISO image, biek.properties displays:
[BOXI]
Version=BusinessObjects Enterprise XI Release 3 SP3
