To be able to specify different threshold and reset values pre model, use attributes. These attributes will need to be created prior to the creation of the SpectroWatch using the Model Type Editor (MTE). The new attributes will need to be created on the same Model Type as the Threshold SpectroWatch is to be created on. They will need to be created writable with a default value.
When the SpectroWatch is created, specify these new attributes as the threshold and reset values for the Threshold SpectroWatch.
Then, these new attributes can be changed on a per model basis using the Attribute Editor, Command Line Interface (CLI) or by creating a custom OneClick view to display and change the values.
How to create a SPECTRUM Threshold SpectroWatch with different thresholds per model
All versions of SPECTRUM
User would like to create a Threshold SpectroWatch on a Model Type. However, they would like to be able to specify different threshold and reset values per model of the Model Type where the Threshold SpectroWatch is created.
SpectroWatches are modifications to the Model Type in the SPECTRUM database catalog. When you create a SpectroWatch, you are creating a new attribute on the Model Type. All current models of that type in the database automatically inherit the SpectroWatch and all future models created of that type will automatically inherit the SpectroWatch. When creating a Threshold SpectroWatch and entering static threshold and reset values, these are global for all models of that type that inherit the SpectroWatch.
The Watch Editor allows the Threshold and Reset values be specified in one of two ways;
1. A static value entered in the field
2. Specifying an Attribute that contains the value
