How to Configure DevTest to Use SQL Server Database  for ED, Registry and IAM

DevTest 10.3 and up
Enterprise Dashboard, Registry and IAM  requires its own unique database. To Configure DevTest to use SQL SERVER , follow the below instructions.

1. Update for Enterprise Dashboard to point to SQL server.

2. Update for Registry Start all DevTest components.

3. Configure the IAM Database

Create the Schema for IAM,  and run the installer.  It will prompt you to enter the details for IAM database.

If you have already installed IAM  using embedded database, you can use the utility for updating the database that Identity and Access Manager uses. You can use this utility to change the database that is used or to change the password for the database.

To update the Identity and Access Manager utility:
Launch the DatasourceUpdater executable in the Install Directory/IdentityAccessManager/bin folder.
Follow the prompts to enter the details for your IAM database.

** The Tables are automatically created in the external database when the registry starts for the first time. Before the schema is created, ensure that the DevTest user has DBA privileges. After the schema is created, you can remove the DBA privileges from the user.

** We ship  the sql jdbc driver   ( sqljdbc4-4.0.jar) with our installer in DEVTESTGA\lib\shared folder
