Introduction 

To support the use of Transport Layer Security (TLS), CA Service Desk Manager (CA SDM) requires Embedded Entitlements Management (EEM) to be installed and CA SDM to be configured to use EEM for authentication. This document provides steps to configure TLS within EEM.

How to configure CA Service Desk Manager (CA SDM) to use Transport Layer Security (TLS)?

Environment:  

CA Service Desk Manager 14.1, 12.9, 12.7, 12.6

Windows, Unix and Likux

EEM on Windows

Answer

1. Log into EEM Admin web interface as an administrator

2. Click on Configure->User Store->User Store and then check "Reference from an external LDAP Directory"

3. For EEM versions prior to 12.5, check "Use Transport Layer Security(TLS)" and make sure port 389 is used.

    For example:

    For EEM version 12.5, in the "protocol" drop-down, choose LDAP+TLS and make sure port 389 is used.
