Introduction:
Can APMSQLServer be configured manually in regards to SSL to use https protocol?
Background:
APMSqlServer version 10.7 doesn't support SSL protocol
Environment:
APM 10.7.0
Instructions:
If you are using 10.7.0 you can upgrade to 10.7 SP1 as it contains a fix for DE304958 - APMSqlServer doesn't support SSL. To obtain a copy contact Support

Important: This fix is only available in 10.7SP1 but we are planning to include the final fix in SP3

Instructions:
Below is a summary of the steps you need to take to configure APMSQLServer with https:

1.-Stop EM and APMSQLServer

2. Open file APMSqlServer.properties (location- <EM_HOME>\config) and add the below NEW property. Default value for the below property is 'http'
com.ca.apm.sqlserver.em.httpprotocol=https

3. If you are using self-signed certificate, imported this certificate into the JDK, which is used to run APMSQL – verify keytools confirm that certificate has been imported in cacerts of the JDK. A sample command is :

bin\keytool -import -trustcacerts -file <certificate-file-name>.cer -alias <certificate-alias> -keystore <cacerts-location>

cacerts-location would be probably lib\security\cacerts

4. Restart EM and APMSQLServer
