How to Clear the Item and Group Cache in CAPC

Introduction:

Clearing the item and group cache may be needed from time to time to help resolve an issue. Clearing the item and group cache can be helpful when having synchronization issues in CAPC.

Background:

The Data Aggregator (DA) data source synchronization test is successful, but the status shows as synchronization failure.

There are no firewalls or virus scans interefering.

The host files look okay.

Webservices is working.

All services are up and running.

Restarting services helps resolve the issue, but only temporarily.

Instructions:

 

 

Clear the ITEM cache and GROUP cache, then resync. 

 

 

1.To clear the ITEM cache, run the following command. Note that you need to type in your own CAPC hostname in the URL part of the command:

curl -v -X PUT -H 'Content-Type: application/xml' -d '</emptybody>' -u admin:admin http://CAPCHOST:8181/pc/center/webservice/invalcache/ITEM?

 

2. To clear the GROUP cache, run the following command. Again, type your own CAPC hostname in the URL part of the command:

curl -v -X PUT -H 'Content-Type: application/xml' -d '</emptybody>' -u admin:admin http://CAPCHOST:8181/pc/center/webservice/invalcache/GROUP?
