How to change the Service Provider Business Unit ID in CA Service Catalog
To get a new root level setting for your company/environment.
Decide about how to set the value for the "Service Provider" business unit ID before you start the installation.
After you have installed CA Service Catalog, the following conditions exist:
1. You cannot change the business unit ID of the Service Provider level.
2. You can change the business unit login ID and the business unit name Service Provider.
>> However, as good practice, keep all three values (BU ID, BU Login ID and BU Name) the same.
During the Catalog Component installation, you specify a "Service Provider"(SP) business unit ID.
This ID specifies the "top level, root, service provider" business unit.
All other business units are structured under the root business unit.
As good practice:
3. Specify your company domain name or a short version of your company name for this ID.
4. And keep all three values (BU ID, BU Login ID and BU Name) the same.
