Introduction:

Starting with EEM r12.51 CR04, you can change the digest algorithm to use SHA256. If you have an EEM failover/multiwrite cluster and you change the digest algorithm (or certificate key length), the EEM cluster loses its failover/multiwrite functionality.

In order for EEM to use SHA256 while in a failover/multiwrite cluster, you must:

  1. Break apart the EEM failover/multiwrite cluster
  2. Change the digest algorithm
  3. Re-configure the EEM failover/multiwrite cluster
Environment:
CA Embedded Entitlements Manager r12.51 CR04CA Workload Automation AE r11.3.6 and aboveCA Workload Control Center r11.4 and above
Instructions:

Before you start making any changes in the EEM configuration, it is highly recommended to backup your WCC and Autosys policies. To backup your EEM policies for WCC and Autosys, follow the instructions provided in TEC1829091.

You only need the instructions under the following headings:

CREATE A BACKUP OF YOUR WCC POLICIES/COMPLETE POLICY EXPORT

CREATE A BACKUP OF YOUR WAAE POLICIES/COMPLETE POLICY EXPORT

Once you are done, proceed to follow the document on How To - Change Digest Algorithm to SHA256 with EEM Failover Cluster
