Question:
I am unable to change IM logo for my IME running on Vapp 14.2.
The actual location for such image file is:- /opt/CA/wildfly-idm/standalone/deployments/iam_im.ear/user_console.war/ui/images however in Vapp, we do not have permission to add new files.
The manual states creating a whole new skin for branding - is it required or is there any way to only place a new logo?
Environment:
Identity Manager Virtual Appliance 14.1
Identity Manager Virtual Appliance 14.2
Answer:
1. For vApp 14.1, creating a new Skin is the only supported way to change the IME logo in vApp.  There was an index.jsp permissions which was resolved via DE356922 - to be released by an official CP (next).
2. For 14.2, calogo.png has write permissions. A new custom logo, named calogo.png can be placed to overwrite the default CA logo. The name of the new file has to be calogo.png
config@VAPP142 VAPP-14.2.0 (10.10.10.72):/opt/CA/wildfly-idm/standalone/deployments/iam_im.ear/user_console.war/app/ui7/ca/images > ls -las calogo.png
4 -rwxrw---- 1 wildfly config 2181 Apr 24 10:15 calogo.png
