How to add additional objects to the netViz database (Legacy KB ID CNC TS19149)

For newly added objects to appear in the netViz database, you must refresh the entire project list.

To refresh the project list, you must connect that catalog type to an external database table.

Additionally if it is a "link" type of object, you must also map its end points.

Do this by going to the internal catalog (use the F3 key).

Select Database/Connect to database tables,  then point to the database and table or view that you want to add a new type to.

Once the table appears, select the object type you want to connect it to from the catalog palette.

Connect the desired fields, and if it is a link object, select Database/Map Endpoints.

Once this is complete, return to the project and the object will appear in the "Refresh entire project" dialog.
