How many CMDB relationships can we attach to a CI?

Question:

How many CMDB relationships can we have to a CI? Is there a limitation? 
What happens to CA Service Desk Manager if we map many relationships to a single CI? Is there any impact regarding performance or the visualizer?

CA Service Desk Manager 12.9CA Service Desk Manager 14.1
Answer:

There is no limitation on the count of relationships that can be attached to a CI.

But a CI with many relationships would be slow to open both on the SDM GUI and Visualizer or anywhere else that CI is referenced. This can lead to delayed server response messages etc. There is no best practice for this. It depends on your configuration, hardware, memory etc.
