How is "GC Capacity (%)" calculated?

"GC Duration (ms)" value can be used to compute a percentage. The percentage is based on a maximum duration of 7500. For example, if the "GC Duration (ms)" is 7500, then the percentage would be 100%. The "GC Capacity (%)" metric is then a rough average of the last 8 percentages.

 

Solution:

Procedure:

1. Check the value for metric "GC Duration (ms)".

2. Compute the percentage for the above based on a maximum duration of 7500 Example: If"GC Duration (ms)" is 7500, then the percentage would be 100%

3. Now check the metric "GC Capacity(%)".

 

Expected Result:

"GC Capacity (%)" metric should display a rough average of the last eight percentages.
