Would like to know how licensing works?

Solution:

Two license codes are required with Autosys

Server (scheduling engine) and Agents.

Licensing verification is done on the scheduler machine.

The license code of the scheduler is validated once every 24 hours.

The license code of the agents (based on the number of agents) is validated once every hour.

In case of a licensing violation, it is treated as a warning and is written to the scheduler logs.

CA WAAE [2WAS] is the license code for Workload Automation AutoSys Server

CA WAAE [2WAA] is the license code for Workload Automation AutoSys Agent

Please contact CA Licensing Service to get a valid license.

They will provide you the "ca.olf" license file to install under CA_LIC directory.
