We are reviewing how Daylight Saving Time (DST) may impact our CA PPM implementation.

When Daylight Saving Time occurs, the official time will move from 1:59am to 3:00am instead of 2:00am on that day. Note this is a forward clock change instead of a backward change which is known to impact some of our systems.

We have the following questions; please advise us:

  1. What operation characteristics of the service may change, in addition to the time displayed or recorded. For example, will any software get confused by the sudden time change and fail to provide the expected service?

  2. If additional characteristic change is identified, what actions need to be taken?

The CA PPM application utilizes your system clock, time zone, etc.

Current Java versions will accommodate the DST changes.

So as long as the underlying system is set for the correct time, the CA PPM application will display and utilize the correct time. Customers may want to reschedule some reports and job schedules that fall within this adjustment period to ensure no interruption in schedules.
