Description:

Verifying that CA Datacom/AD and CA 11 WA Restart and Tracking have initialized successfully and that communications has been established.

Solution:

Once CA Datacom /AD has initialized you will see the following message in the CA Datacom /AD JESLOG message file:

DB00201I MULTI-USER ENABLED CXX=cxxname SUBID=x (SVC=yyy) xx

This message indicates that the execution of the startup JCL has successfully initiated the Multi-User Facility (MUF) running in SUBID x and identifies the SVC yyy serving this Multi-User Facility. This would be the message to key off if there is a need for your automation package to know that CA Datacom /AD is active.

If you are using XCF to allow CA 11 WA Restart and Tracking (or other CA applications) on other LPARs within the SYSPLEX to communicate to CA Datacom /AD, you will see the following message:

DB00226I MULTI-USER ACTIVATED XCF SUPPORT (grpname)

This message indicates that XCF support is active and that an XCFFROM Multi-User startup option was encountered and the specified XCF group name (grpname) was successfully joined by this Multi-User Facility.

If you are using CCI to allow CA 11 (or other CA applications) outside of a SYSPLEX environment to communicate to CA Datacom /AD you will see the following message:

DB00222I MULTI-USER ACTIVATED CCI SUPPORT (xxxxxxxx)

This message indicates that communication with the CAICCI system xxxxxxxx was successfully initiated when the Multi-User Facility was enabled and the TASKS ccinumber Multi-User startup option was found to be present.

Once CA 11 WA Restart andTracking is initialized you will see the following message in the CA 11 started task JESLOG message file:

U11D-0200-1 CA-11 DBAS R3.0 INITIALIZATION COMPLETE

Prior to this initialization message for CA 11 you may also see the following message:

U11D-8000-18 CONNECTED TO CA-DATACOM Version 11.0 SP02

This message indicates the CA Datacom /AD release and maintenance level CA-11 is connected to.
(This message occurs if you are at CA 11 R3.0 SP03 maintenance level or have PTF QO81922 on).
