Introduction:

CA InterTest for CICS requires the use of global user exits XPCFTCH, XPCTA, XDUREQ and XMEOUT.

You can guarantee that the CA InterTest for CICS exits are started and are first to receive control by adding the program entry IN25PLTX to the CICS startup PLTPI. Program IN25PLT starts CA InterTest for CICS at CICS startup time and program IN25PLTE stops CA InterTest for CICS at CICS shutdown time.

Instructions:

It is recommended that CA InterTest for CICS is started at CICS initialization time. This will ensure the CA InterTest for CICS global user exits are first to receive control and that CA InterTest for CICS is automatically started at CICS initialization time. There are two CA InterTest for CICS programs that accomplish this. Program IN25PLTX loads the global user exits. This program should be the first program entry in the CICS PLT startup table before the DFHDELIM. Program IN25PLT starts InterTest and is placed anywhere after the DFHDELIM entry.

Below is an example of the PLTPI entries.

DFHPLT TYPE=ENTRY,PROGRAM=IN25PLTX
DFHPLT TYPE=ENTRY,PROGRAM=DFHDELIM
DFHPLT TYPE="ENTRY,PROGRAM=IN25PLT

CA InterTest for CICS maintains a permanent service task that runs under the transaction ID ISER. The program is IN25SERV. CICS cannot complete a normal shutdown until this task ends. It is important that you deactivate CA InterTest for CICS before CICS shutdown to terminate this task. To deactivate CA InterTest for CICS at CICS shutdown, add program IN25PLTE to the CICS shutdown PLT before the DFHDELIM so that it is part of Stage 1 processing. Below is an example of this entry.

DFHPLT TYPE=ENTRY,PROGRAM=IN25PLTE
DFHPLT TYPE=ENTRY,PROGRAM=DFHDELIM
