Introduction:

The SNMP version used to poll an element cannot currently be seen in any UI

Question:

How do I verify the SNMP version used to poll elements in ehealth

Environment:

eHealth all supported versions/platforms

Answer:

1) If using SNMPv3, if a device is present in the output of the following command, (and has valid information),

       nhExportSnmpKeyInfo -dciOut <file>

    All the elements on that device are polled using SNMPv3

2) For SNMPv1 and SNMPv2 elements, the version used is defined in the MTF file.

In the MTF file associated with the element (found under $NH_HOME/poller) look for the following section:

init
{

setSnmpVersion ("2c")

}

If this is not present or states "1" instead of "2c" then the element is polling using SNMPv1
