The following is the procedure to manually uninstall CABI (CA Business Intelligence) after it has been installed with CA Service Catalog.

Solution:

Before you modify the registry, make sure to create back up of the registry and ensure that you understand how to restore the registry if a problem may occur.

CABI r3.x can be uninstalled manually using the following procedure:

  1. From ADD/REMOVE PROGRAMS, uninstall CA Business Intelligence
  2. Locate and delete the \CommonReporting3 folder
  3. Open a command prompt and run the following command:

    msiexec /x {5418F914-1D31-4849-822C-314AC28B06BF}

  4. Delete the following registry entries (note that all may not be present)

    HKLM\SOFTWARE\ Wow6432Node \ComputerAssociates\Shared\CommonReporting3
    HKCU\Software\Business Objects
    HKU\.DEFAULT\Software\Business Objects
    HKLM\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\BOE120SIA<SIANODENAME>
    HKLM\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\BOE120MySQL
    HKLM\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\BOE120Tomcat
    HKLM\SOFTWARE\ Wow6432Node \Apache Software Foundation\Procrun
    2.0\BOE120SIA<SIANODENAME>
    HKLM\SOFTWARE\ Wow6432Node \Apache Software Foundation\Procrun
    2.0\BOE120Tomcat
    HKM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Installer\Folders\<INSTALLDIR
    >

    HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\{5418F914-1D31-4849-822C-314AC28B06BF}

  5. Reboot the server
