Support Logging should be enabled (especially at any level greater than 50) only when CA Support so instructs/requests.
How do I turn on OMLogging/Support Logging to get an OMLOG file?
Windows 2008/2012 R2 Server
To turn on OMLogging (AKA Support Logging), start the Web Viewer Administration Tool, select Machine Data Source, then select and sign on to your server. When the Admin Tool GUI comes up, select File and Configure Server Settings from the menu bar. Select the server you want to log, and then ensure Activate Support Logging is checked and the level is set to 150. Finally, make a note of the output file path so you'll know where to retrieve the log. Click the Update button and then Close to save your changes and turn logging on.
Note: The Web Viewer and its Administration Tool are 32 Bit applications. To make sure that changes you make from the Administration Tool are properly written to the registry, you need to run the Administration Tool “As Administrator” when in a 64 Bit Operating System like Windows 2008/2012 R2 Server.
