Question:

How do I run Coracleanup ?

Environment:

CA Client Automation - All Versions

Answer:

1.    You will need to ask Support for the latest version of Coracleanup for the version of the product you have,
since coracleanup does not come packaged with the media.

2.    Extract the caz file using cazipxpexe    cazipxp.exe -u <CORA_Testfix>.caz

3.    Stop CAF

4.    From the Directory you extracted coracleanup to, here is an example of the coracleanup command:

          CORACLEANUP /DATABASE mdb /SERVER localhost /SCOPE DSM /METHOD reinit /TYPE sqlServer  /LOG full

This command will work if your database is Local and your windows account is a sysadmin in SQL

5.   Here are the options for Coracleanup
  •  If your Windows account is not a sysadmin in SQL , you might need to specify a Username and Password
  •  If your SQL Server is remote then /SERVER will be the name of the remote server
  •  If  your are running Oracle then /TYPE would be ORACLE
  • There are 2 other options /Instance and /PORT for mdb's that are not using the default Port and/or Instance

7.   When it is complete there should be 2 logs that were created in the Directory you ran it from:
