Introduction:

When running a CA Datacom Multi-User (MUF) with the SYSOUT MUF startup option specified, PXX snaps, diagnostics, and traces are written to JES output classes instead of to the PXX data set.

The SYSOUT written to is PXXML, PXXCBS, PXXSQL, PXXDD, or PXXDST depending on the diagnostic or trace.

Question:

How do I reset or clear any of the CA Datacom PXX alternate SYSOUT classes?

Answer:
To clear any of the SYSOUTs during MUF execution, use DBUTLTY COMM function or console command CLRML, CLRCBS, CLRSQL, CLRDD, or CLRDST to clear the associated PXXML, PXXCBS, PXXSQL, PXXDD, or PXXDST.
