Introduction:

How do I redirect to a specific URL after logging out of CA Service Desk Manager?

I do not wish to see the login to Service Desk login screen again after logging out. Instead, I would like to redirect to an internal or external URL after logging out?

Environment:
CA Service Desk Manager on all  platforms
Instructions:

Description:

This setting is controlled by web.cfg file.

Solution:

  1. Navigate to NX_ROOT\bopcfg\www.

  2. Click to open and edit web.cfg file.

  3. Search for Logout in the word pad and you would notice LogoutURL <Screenshot>

    # LogoutURL is the URL of a web page to be displayed after a user logs out# of Unicenter Service Desk. If this value is commented out, logging # out displays the Unicenter Service Desk login form.

    ! LogoutURL http://www.ca.com
  4. Uncomment and edit the LogoutURL to add the URL that we would like to redirect after logging out.

  5. Save the changes made and recycle the Unicenter Service Desk services.

  6. Notice the redirection after logging in and logging out.
