Introduction:

How to find component versions for CAPC, Jetty and MySql.

Question:

How do I find CAPC component version information?

Environment:

CAPC 2.6.x, 2.7.x & 2.8.x

Linux

Answer:

CAPC:

To find the version of CAPC from within the CAPC gui, navigate to the top right of the screen and click 'Help' then 'About'.  For example:

CAPCversion.jpg

Jetty:

If you ‘more’ the VERSION.txt file within the jetty directory you will find the latest version, the one you are using, listed as the first line.  See below:

# more /opt/CA/PerformanceCenter/jetty/VERSION.txt

jetty-9.3.5.v20151012 - 12 October 2015

MySql:

All you need to do is issue the command ‘mysql’ and you will see an output like the below:

# mysql

Welcome to the MySQL monitor.  Commands end with ; or \g.

Your MySQL connection id is 111

Server version: 5.6.20-enterprise-commercial-advanced MySQL Enterprise Server - Advanced Edition (Commercial)

Additional Information:

All of the above examples were run on CAPC v2.7.0.125
