Introduction:

FOR UPDATED INFORMATION ON THIS FUNCTIONALITY (APPLICABLE TO SERVICE DESK 14.1 AND HIGHER) PLEASE REVIEW TECH DOC TEC1073551.

After installing Service Desk many clients want their Companies logo on the login page. This document explains how to change the logo on the login page without the need to edit the source in the "login.htmpl" form with the Web Screen Painter.

Instructions:
  1. Copy product_banner.png, ca_logo_h.gif, and calogoHorizontal.png from the $NX_ROOT\bopcfg\www\wwwroot\img directory. These are the default CA logos.

  2. Rename your image files to the same names as listed above. Place your image files with the same names (product_banner.png, ca_logo_h.gif, and calogoHorizontal.png) in the site\mods\www\wwwroot\img folder.

  3. Run the command "pdm_webcache -H" on the server.

The -H option will clear all webengine HTMPL cache. This will reload the images so that your logo and information will display.

  4. Open a new Service Desk Web Client session. Your new logo and file will now be displayed.

If you have any further questions regarding customizing the login page (login.htmpl), please see the CA Service Desk documentation or contact CA Service Desk support.
