Description

There are two methods of displaying the version and service pack maintenance level of ACF2 VM, the ACFSERVE command or the ACF SHOW command.

Solution

The ACFSERVE QUERY STATUS command displays the release of CA-ACF2 is installed on CP. It displays information about the status of CA-ACF2, including the release number, status, and release level.

No special privileges are required to issue this command.

For example:

    acfserve query status
    Release 12 - Level 0809.SP01 - Status ACTIVE
    Ready; T=0.01/0.01 12:10:41

The ACF SHOW STATE command will display the current status of CA-ACF2, including the release number, status, and release level of ACF2 VM installed as well, in addition to other information including information about the CA-ACF2 databases, CA-ACF2 mode, current ACFFDR, access rule and password options, UID, who can decompile rules, tape volume pseudo data set name and protected tape volumes, resource rule cache and types, resident type lists, SSFTYPE definitions, and data set rule options. This command requires the SECURITY, ACCOUNT, or AUDIT privilege.

For example:

    acf show state
