Question:

How do I determine the number of logonids defined in the ACF2 LOGONID database?

Answer:

To determine the count of logonids defined in the ACF2 logonid database the SYSLOG
can be scanned for the ACF79049 messages that are issued when the automatic daily
backup is run. Each logonid in the ACF2 backup file is a single record. The ACF79049 message
indicates the number of records backed up for each ACF2 database.

Sample messages from the daily automatic backup:

*ACF79040 ACF79040 ACF2 VSAM CLUSTER BACKUP INITIATED

IEF196I ACF79040 ACF79040 ACF2 VSAM CLUSTER BACKUP INITIATED
ACF79049 111111 RECORDS BACKED UP FROM LOGONID CLUSTER
ACF79049 222222 RECORDS BACKED UP FROM RULES CLUSTER
ACF79049 333333 RECORDS BACKED UP FROM INFOSTG CLUSTER
ACF79041 ACF2 VSAM CLUSTER BACKUP COMPLETED SUCCESSFULLY

From the above example, there are 111,111 logonids defined in the ACF2 database.
