Question:

How can you modify the RDT attribute of maxpermit(044) to be maxpermit(246)

Answer:

MAXPERMIT

A decimal value between 1 and 255 (rescode 01-3F) or 2 and 255 (rescode 101-13F).

To change the MAXPERMIT you need change the MAXLEN, however you cannot change

on the fly. If you already defined need to first remove all permits and ownership then remove and add back the RDT entry with a MAXLEN(246).

ex:

TSS ADD(RDT) RESCLASS(#topic) maxlen(246).....

TSS LIS(RDT) RESCLASS(#topic)

ACCESSORID = *RDT* NAME = RESOURCE DEFINITIONS

RESOURCE CLASS = #TOPIC

RESOURCE CODE = X'102'

ATTRIBUTE = MASKABLE,MAXOWN(26),MAXPERMIT(246),ACCESS

ACCESS = ALL(FFFF),NONE(0000)

DEFACC = ALL

TSS0300I LIST FUNCTION SUCCESSFUL
