Introduction:

How can you determine if an application uses LOG=NONE with RACROUTE calls.

Question:

How do you determine if an application is using RACROUTE security call with LOG=NONE which suppressing logging for the security call.

Answer:

Currently there is no built in report that will reveal that kind of information.

You would have to run a SECTRACE to determine if LOG=NONE is being used as we have done in this ticket.

Example:

X TSS-C-0000*SAR SAR S JESSPOOL200A G/0001000700,0020000000 L/208002 F/00000320,000100,0021,000000

The '80' in 'L/208002/ means LOG=NONE per the following doc:

https://docops.ca.com/ca-top-secret-for-z-os/16-0/en/troubleshooting/ca-top-secret-diagnostic-trace/trace-detail-1

which documents how to read the SECTRACE.

Any security call with LOG=NONE will cause the security check not to be logged to the Audit Tracking File.

CA Top Secret will respect the request and not log it to the Audit Tracking File.

There is no functionality in CA Top Secret to override the LOG=NONE setting.
