How can I tell if eHealth is sending a trap to Spectrum

Question:

How can you tell if Live Excpetions has sent a particular alarm or clear trap, to Spectrum or other trap destination

Answer:

1. Turn on advanced logging for "notifier" in One Click for eHealth, under advanced logging

    This will log all alarm raises and clears, handled by the notifier, and will indicate if the traps are sent

 

2. Get a packet capture from Spectrum and/or eHealth system, to determine whether the traps on port 162 are leaving       the eHealth system, and arriving at the Spectrum system

 

Additional Information:

If step #2 above shows that the traps are being sent to the correct Spectrum system, then it is time to engage the Spectrum support team
