Issue: CA Spectrum 10.0 added support for Cisco Virtual Switching (VSS) functionality. Chassis Manager was enhanced to display and distinguish between the chassis of two switches. There is no separate view for devices that are utilizing VSS. To see which models/devices support VSS you need to either run the VSS search or you can create a Global Collection to contain the models that support VSS.
Solution: The VSS modeling was updated in the Chassis Manager view. In the OneClick client, open the Chassis Manager area in the Navigation window. Select the Device and you will see the chassis. Here is an example:
To find all models that support VSS, you can run the "All VSS Devices" search. The search is in the Locater view under the Chassis-VSS folder:
If you would like to have one view that shows which models have VSS enabled, you need to create a Global Collection. Just right click on the "All VSS Devices" search and choose the "Create Global Collection From..." option:
Name the collection in reference to VSS, such as VSS Devices. Create the Global Collection and you will now have a collection with your Cisco VSS devices.
