Introduction:

I have plex installed on my personal desktop. Dll's created by plex are deployed to our TEST server. We deployed the application .DLLs by simply copying them from my desktop computer, where I designed, generated, and built the application with CA Plex, over to this TEST server via a network share. We use Websydian Express to run the Dll's. My current situation is I cannot get Websydian Express installed and running on my desktop and the server group will not install Plex (and all required components in order to gen and build) on the server.

Question:

Can I run my action diagram debugger on my desktop and point to DLL's deployed to the TEST server?

Answer:

We have not tested the use case you described, namely, running the Action Diagram Debugger against DLLs that you have deployed to a remote system separate that is not connected to the Plex system where you developed the application in your generate and build options. Thus, we advise you to install Plex onto your Development System where the appliation DLLs are deployed and debug the problem on that system
