If you have a new UIM installation and open the Infrastructure Manager interface as below
And want to open the HUB probe by doing the right click on the hub_name under the three
but you got just a simple reply like below
How can I do a right click under the domain for hub_name and get the hub configuration GUI as below
Any new installation that you never open the hub configuration GUI.
If you need to open the hub GUI or any probe GUI, when you click on the probe at the IM interface, the IM will call the archive to get the binary to open the probe GUI, this binary is transfered to the temporary folder on the workstation that are you have the IM opened.
for you to check the binary that has been already transfer you can type on windows search %temp% as below:
The windows will be open the temp directory
Double click on the number for your profile and you will be able to see a folder call "util"
Double click the util folder and you will be able to see the exe binary for each probe that you already opened.
This below sample are just the binary for the hub
If you don't have the exe binary on this temporary folder you will not be able to open the hub GUI or any other probe GUI, in case you need to open the logmon probe you should do a double click on the probe, the IM will call the archive and will bring to this same temporary folder the exe binary for the logmon.
as you can see below you have the binary for the hub and logmon.
Each time you open a new probe the binary should be transfer for this folder.
This mean any time you need to open a probe GUI you must have the probe downloaded on the archive the IM will request the archive and will be transfer the binary exe to "util" folder.
