Introduction:
Sometimes we may need to access our local drive for a short time during a RDP session and we would prefer to disconnect it afterwards, to avoid moving data to a wrong place, for instance.
This document shows how to proceed to do it.
Question:
How can I disconnect 'C on xsuite' (and simmilar drives) within a RDP PAM client session?
Environment:
Any hardware or software appliance running any PAM Server version.
Answer:
The RDP PAM session pre-connected drives appear in the RDP Session as special drives (C on xsuite, for instance) and they cannot be removed/unmapped.

If you think you are not going to need the drive mapping, do not map it before the RDP session and it will not appear.

If you think you will need access to the drive and then you prefer disconnect it, for any reason, during the RDP session itself, use a regular windows mapping to C$ on your workstation and this will do the trick, as it can be disconnected as any other shared resource.
Additional Information:
If you miss some information in the mapped drive, make sure that the Windows File Explorer View Options are not hiding it.
