Introduction:

For some reasons the users may need to press a key combination including ALT+C. For instance some Eastern Europe languages may use CTRL+ALT+C to write the character '?'.

After installing CA-Client automation any key combination including ALT+C launches the SD Catalog, overwriting the previous functionality.

Question:

How can I disable the SD Catalog startup when pressing ALT+C or CTRL+ALT+C?

Environment:
Client Automation (all versions)
Answer:

This is not a problem related to the Client Automation product itself, but to a configuration of a Windows feature: the Windows shortcut files.

The Windows shortcut files contain several fields among which we can find the shortcut key.

To modify the Software Delivery Catalog shortcut key, go to the CA-Client Automation program group and follow the steps here below:

Right click --> "DSM Software Delivery Catalog" and select --> 'Properties'

Select the 'Shortcut' tab.

There you can find the shortcut settings and change it as needed. Pressing 'Backspace' you can clear the shortcut key.

Click the 'OK' button to save the changes. After doing so, the feature from the Windows shortcut will be disabled.
