Introduction:
Use the Windows Task Scheduler to schedule a task for setting CA UIM robot startup delay in 5 mins after OS started up.
Environment:
CA UIM 8.x on Windows platform.
Instructions:

1. Set startup type of "nimsoft Robot Watcher" service as "Manual".

2. Create a task for delay start up the "Nimsoft Robot Watcher" service.
  • Open "Task Scheduler" from "Control Panel" -> "System and Security" -> "Administrative Tools" 
  • In the "Task Scheduler Library", right click and "Create New Task", please kindly pay attention to NOT "Basic Task".

  • Name the new task, and check "Run whether user is logged on or not".

  • Create Trigger and choose "Begin the task" as "At startup"; in the "Advanced settings", check "Delay task for": 5 minutes.

  • In the "Actions" tab, New an Action as "Start a program", choose the location of "nimbus.exe", typically at "C:\Program Files (x86)\Nimsoft\bin". Also need to "Add arguments (optional)":  -start.
