Question:

When checking a processed file from a submitted job in TDoD,   (typically found in RemotePublish/ProcessedFiles) you may find a GroupJob.error file with the following message "Exception occured while processing XML file. Exception: 'Invalid URI: The hostname could not be parsed.'"

How do you fix the error "Exception occured while processing XML file. Exception: 'Invalid URI: The hostname could not be parsed.'" thats located in the GroupJob.error file?

Answer:

Since the file where the error is located is called GroupJob.error,  you will need to fix the issue with the GTGroupJobProcessor.   To address the issue,  please run the following steps

1) Run the GroupJobExecutor_ConfigEditor.exe  which is typically located in /Grid-Tools/GTGroupJobProcessor/GroupJobExecutor_ConfigEditor

2) When the application launches,  fix the TDoD Service Address thats located in the Configure URL.  If this has not been set up,  it will look like this

    http://<<Machinename>>:port/GTService

The URL should match the Service Layer Integration Primary Service URL that you have set up in DataMaker,  in this case its

    http://localhost:8090/GTService

Here is the screenshot in DataMaker where you can see your Integration Primary Service URL

Once you have made the changes,  restart your TDoD and Remote Publish services.  You will now have resolved the issue.
