Issue:

Installing additional FMID's for a product that already has it's base FMID installed in an existing CSI fails with

GIM30209E ** APPLY PROCESSING FAILED FOR SYSMOD FMID01. REQUIRED SYSMODS FAILED OR WERE MISSING.

GIM35916I CONDITIONAL REQUISITE SYSMOD RO00001 WAS MISSING. SYSMOD RO00002 CONTAINED THE IF STATEMENT.

GIM37001S ** APPLY PROCESSING STOPPED BECAUSE FUNCTION SYSMOD FMID01 FAILED.

 

Note that a generic FMID, FMID01 and generic PTF's, RO00001 and RO00002 are being used to demonstrate the solution without being specific to any given product.

 

Environment:

CA CSM, SMP/E

 

Cause:

PTF's such as the generic example below that says if RO00002 is applied and FMID FMID01 is applied or is being applied the RO00001 must also be applied.

++PTF (RO00002).

 ++IF FMID(FMID01) REQ( RO00001) .    

 

Resolution:

Restore all the PTF's that are equivalent to RO00002, install the additional FMID's equivalent to FMID01 then apply the PTF's equivalent to RO00002 and RO00001.
