Introduction:

Generate a report to get count of tickets raised in SDM filtered by Date.

Environment:
? BOXI 3.1 and higher? CA Service Desk Manager 12.9 CA SDM? CA Service Desk Manager 14.1
Instructions:

(1)        Login into Bi Launch Pad and Create a report will all the required fields including ticket number and open date or close date fields as per requirement

(2)        Once the report runs successfully(as in below screen), Click on Add new Variable “5.JPG” button in the newly report generated.

(3)        Clicking Add new variable in above steps, populates a new window ,“Variable Editor” as below image:

                                     i.        Specify any name as per your convenience

                                    ii.        Qualification will be “Measure”

                                   iii.        And in Formula Bar: =Count([Incident Number]) and click on tick mark. It will validate the formula.

                                  iv.        After validating the formula click on OK. Button.

(4)        Now to Format date ,In the same report, repeat step 2.

(5)        In the Variable editor window,

                                     i.        Specify any name as per your convenience

                                    ii.        Qualification will be “Measure”

                                   iii.        And in Formula Bar: =FormatDate([Open Date];”MM/dd/yyyy”) and click on tick mark. It will validate the formula.

                                  iv.        If validation is successful, click on OK button

  •     In same report you ran as in image in step 2, at the bottom of screen->right click on Report 1 tab-and select Add report. As per in screen shot (at bottom of screenshot)

  •    And pull the newly created fields
