Question:

While starting up PTXMAN task issues the following message:
GEN0915 Health Checker request failed, RC= 40, RSN= 0, Function=INITIALIZE are generated in log file.

What does this message mean?

Answer:

RC=40 on the Health Checker initialization request indicates that the CA Health Checker common service is not installed. If you are using the IBM Health Checker service and are interested in the integration with CA products (including the DB2 tools), then you will also need to install the CA Health Checker common services, FMID(CEF5C00) delived with CCS (CA Common Services).

Please refer to section "Health Check Support" in CA DB2 DB Management Common Function Guide.
