Question:
From where is the DMCL loaded for CV and for a local batch job and can it be loaded from the dictionary load area?
Environment:
z/OS
Answer:

DMCLs cannot be loaded from the DDLCATLOD area.
DMCL source must be GENERATED which creates a "load module" in the DDLCATLOD, but to be used the DMCL LOAD MODULE must be PUNCHed and Link edited into a loadlib.

For a CV startup, the DMCL must be named in the startup parameters and will always be loaded from CDMSLIB.

For Local Mode Batch the SYSIDMS DMCL=  parameter indicates the DMCL name and  the DMCL Load Module will be loaded from STEPLIB
