Issue:

Frequent log entries in bash_commands.log:

'cloudprd sudo:   layer7 : TTY=unknown ; PWD=/opt/SecureSpan/Controller ; USER=root ; COMMAND=/opt/SecureSpan/Controller/../Appliance/libexec/hardware-stats.pl"

Environment:
CA API Management Gateway 8.4
Cause:

If CPU monitoring is enabled through ESM on gateway, then below entries will be logged frequently:

"Jun 27 13:27:50 cloudprd sudo:   layer7 : TTY=unknown ; PWD=/opt/SecureSpan/Controller ; USER=root ; COMMAND=/opt/SecureSpan/Controller/../Appliance/libexec/hardware-stats.pl"

Resolution:

Increase the interval time under 'Manage Gateways-> Configure-> CPU usage and CPU temperature' and stop monitoring for this gateway by navigating to 'ssgconfig menu->  5) Display Remote Management configuration menu ->  3) Remote Node Management Enabled -> Enable Remote Node Management? [Yes] -> type 'No'' and then restart gateway to reduce the frequent log entries.
