Flowdock - Administration: User signup gives "should look like email address" error

Issue:
When using Login using Agile Central to set up a new user account, the email address is not accepted. 

The user may receive an error such as "should look like an email address" when there is a special character in the email:

Cause:
Special characters such as apostrophes are not accepted in email addresses for Flowdock.
Resolution:
Remove the special character (such as apostrophe) in the email address, then click Submit to create the Flowdock account.
