The CA Top Secret Troubleshooting Guide, has formula to calculate the size of SECCACHE :
SECCACHE Size = 1.01 * (ACID#(AVGRECSZ + 16))
The number of user ACIDs that "log on".
The average record size from the SECCACHE(STATUS) display.
If SECCACHE is OFF, the average record size will not display with the command TSS MODIFY SECCACHE(STATUS).
Is there another way to find this value?
Run TSSFAR with SFSTATS to show the average record size. The TSSFAR output should show the average size in the line:
Active Acid count: nnnnn Average size: nnnnn bytes
See chapter 4 of the CA Top Secret Troubleshooting Guide for more information on the TSSFAR utility.
NOTE: TSSFAR should run against the backup security file, not the primary/active security file.
See member TSSFAR in the CA Top Secret CAKOJCL0 library for sample jcl for TSSFAR.
