File transfer to CIFS Share folder is not possible on Linux - U02005072 Directory '***t' could not be created. Error: '17(File exists)'.

Issue:

File transfer to CIFS Share folder is not possible on Linux. The same FT works for local filesystem folders.

FT aborted with following error messages:

20180514/061600.906 - U00011407 FT '339448456': FileTransfer with partner 'SDCTAUTOMIC01' started.
20180514/061600.915 - U00011411 FT '339448456': Receiving file '/efs/INT/EMD/R2RI008/inbound/testSS.txt'.
20180514/061600.933 - U02005072 Directory '/efs/INT/EMD/R2RI008/inbound' could not be created. Error: '17(File exists)'.
20180514/061600.941 - U00011409 FT '339448456': FileTransfer ended abnormally.
20180514/061600.969 - U02000007 Connection to Agent 'SDCTAUTOMIC01' terminated.


While the same FT with local filesystem directories works normally:

20180514/061951.658 - U00011407 FT '339448492': FileTransfer with partner 'SDCTAUTOMIC01' started.
20180514/061951.667 - U00011411 FT '339448492': Receiving file '/tmp/Automic/testSS.txt'.
20180514/061951.681 - U00011408 FT '339448492': FileTransfer completed.
20180514/061951.708 - U02000007 Connection to Agent 'SDCTAUTOMIC01' terminated.

 
Cause:
Defect: It was addressed as a bug and fixed.
Resolution:
This bug was fixed in the following versions:

  • Automation Engine 11.2.3 HF3
  • Automation Engine 12.0.5
  • Automation Engine 12.1.2
  • Automation Engine 12.2.0
