Fault-Tolerant sdconnector - bad value in SecureDomainStatus attribute

Document ID : KB000117438
Last Modified Date : 11/10/2018
Show Technical Document Details
Issue:
SDconnectors are configured to run in a Fault Tolerant environment Spectrum 10.2.3 servers.  These servers does not show correct status for the SecureDomainStatus attribute value. The status displayed is "Established, primary down (2)"while the primary is up and running.

Environment:
Windows
Linux
Cause:
The originating model type for SecureDomainStatus attribute is SDConnectorMF.

The SDConnectorMF has the following derived model types:

Generic Host Pingable
SDConnectorProcess

Therefore, this attribute will also be included in all host devices and pingables. The value is shown "Established, primary down (2)" because that is the default value of this attribute. Also, if the device is not an SDC then the value of SecureDomainStatus will not change.
Resolution:
To check the SDC status, you will need to look only at the SDConnectorProcess model, which can be found under Secure Domain Manager in Navigation Panel. This fix will be added in 10.3.1
