We are trying to install the CABI Server 6.3 on a Windows Server and we are using the CA BUSINESS INTELLIGENCE JASPERREPORT SERVER FOR UNIFIED DASHBOARDS AND REPORTING FOR INFRASTRUCTURE MANAGEMENT_WIN.ZIP GEN06095150M.zip file to install the CABI server. The installer completes successfully but it actually does not install the CABI Tomcat windows service.
Windows Server 2012
CABI Server 6.3
Other applications had already created the "CATALINA_HOME" environment variable, which caused the creation of the service to fail without causing an error in the installation log.
To see if this environment variable is set, open a command prompt and issue the command:
It should not return any value in a working environment.
After asking the customer to try to manually install the service via the service.bat file from the "CA Business Intelligence\apache-tomcat\bin", the batch file when executed from a command line reported an issue with the environment variables. After removing the previous entry for "CATALINA_HOME"  left by another application the service could be successfully created.
