If the tibco asyc-msgs file (in 'tibco\cfgmgmt\ems\data\datastore') grows to a few GB but when you check the queues via 'show queues' there is only a very little stored in the database, you may need to compact the database. There is automatic truncation of the tibco queues but the compact command isn't automated. The 'compact' command reduces the size of the tibco db.
During this process, the DB can't be modified/updated.
compact store_type max_time
where store_type is:
a, async, or asynchronous to compact the asynchronous file.
s, sync, or synchronous to compact the synchronous file.
max_time specifies a time limit (in seconds) for the operation.
