When trying to open the SDM GUI the following message is displayed:
"Error SME_APP_DEFINED_0B Application defined error code (11/0B) [CMM208955]"
Additionally, the following message may be displayed:
"Error connecting to database [CMM000025]"
All Supported version of CA Client Automation running the DSM Explorer.
All Supported versions of Microsoft SQL Server.
The above error(s) occurs when there is problem with the ca_itrm users password ; which is used to connect to the mdb database.
Verify if you can login using the ca_itrm user and password using MSSQL if you can not then follow these steps:
SQL Server on Windows Server
- Reset the password in SQL Server:
Open SQL Server Enterprise Manager
Double click on the ca_itrm user and reset the password
Note: The default password at installation is NOT_changedR11
- Reset the password for ca_itrm in comstore:
Open a DOS prompt and enter the following command:
cadsmcmd setdbcredentials passwd=<password entered in step 1>
