Description:

When installing Cabi 4.1 sp3 on windows, initial checks fail for reboot option. Even though the Cabi server was rebooted twice, we still get the error "suppressed reboot failed"

Solution:

Go through the following steps to clear the Windows Registry keys which will help in bypassing this error.

1.Launch regedit from the Windows command interface

2. Make a backup of the registry before doing any changes

3. Go to the following registry key:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Session Manager - PendingFileRenameOperations =

Double-click PendingFileRenameOperations

Any pending reboot requests will be listed such as the following examples:

\??\C:\Config.Msi\44843.rbf

\??\C:\Config.Msi\44844.rbf

\??\c:\mytmp\mfe3DCA.tmp\cleanup.exe

\??\c:\mytmp\mfe3DCA.tmp

\??\C:\Windows\system32\spool\PRTPROCS\x64\1_HPZPPWN7.DLL

\??\c:\Config.Msi\3948f2a5.rbf

\??\c:\mytmp\VMwareDnD\316875c5\

4.Delete the data in the registry key . Do not delete the key itself

5. Run the Cabi installer again.

This should help you proceed with the installation.
